Air Travel From The UK

We are very flexible in which days bookings can run from and too as there are many flight options available from the UK and the rest of the world. One of the best flights from the UK is through Thomson and these flights operate year round on Thursdays from London Gatwick and Tuesdays From Manchester These flights are excellent value are are now offering full seatback in-flight entertainment and 33" Pitch seating (More than BA and Virgin!). MyTravel also have all year round direct flights from London Gatwick Airport on Mondays.

From Paris there are flights THREE days per week, these are also very accessible from the UK connecting through Paris.

From the USA there are many gateways too through New York, Miami and Atlanta to name a few. Also Air France have a few flights through Paris too.

The frequency of flights in the Summer holiday periods and Christmas times does also increase significantly so it is good to shop around for flights, sometimes dropping to below £200 roundtrip.

To Check Flight availability you can use this website which is great tool to check late availability of charter flights and you can of book ahead too.

Domestic Air Travel

If you wanted to get around the Dominican republic and travel to places like Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, there is a small domestic airline which is very good. They operate small aircraft, generally 6 to 10 seater (which is fun) and have schedules linking all the major areas together, with daily flights to Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata.

Busses and Road Transport

You can also travel by Bus, but you will find although this is cheaper, the busses mainly run through Santo Domingo and take a long time as the roads are not so good, but there is a very aggressive plan being implemented to rebuild the road systems. Also you will find the busses, when connecting through other cities do not meet at a central location so you often have to get taxies from one bus station to another.

Transport and Transfers:

If you wish we can also arrange transfers, but taxis to and from the airport are about US$25.00 each way and many are small vans and can seat up to 8 people and luggage. The transfer time is about 15 minutes.
